Imagine waking in the morning with the sun streaming through the porthole and then slipping over the side of the boat for a swim before breakfast. And what a breakfast: irresistible Turkish yogurt and honey, eggs any way you want, fruit, cheeses, olives, luscious tomatoes and local breads. Anchor up, off you go to a beautiful bay for a swim, or potter about on a canoe. A delicious lunch follows, more swimming and sun and winds permitting, the sails go up, as we move along the coast to another magical setting for dinner and an overnight stay. Barbeques, endless different mezze and a wonderful variety of Turkish home cooking are all eaten under the stars. For the more restless individuals, there is an opportunity to go on shore every day, which may be a wild walk along a forestry trail, a visit to a local village or an important archaeological site, or a combination of these. Of course the trips are strictly optional – a DayDreams holiday is all about relaxation!
May 15-May 25 (10 nights/11 days)
Spring flowers and walking in the Gokova Gulf
The stunning scenery in this gulf is wonderful in April when walkers will find forestry trails carpeted with wild flowers and shrubs. We will also explore the archaeological site at Cnidos and the old village of Oren (ancient Keramos). Winds permitting, this is also a good area for sailing. The itinerary will start and finish at Bodrum.
May 26-June 9 (14 nights/15 days)
Turkey and the southern Dodecanese Islands
Leaving Bodrum, we make our way to Kos to complete Greek immigration and port formalities. Time to visit Asklepieion and Kos town, then the islands of Nissyros, Tilos and Symi, before returning to Datca/Turkey. We will then have time to explore the Hisaranu gulf area before finishing our itinerary at Fethiye.
September 18-28 (10 nights/11 days)
The Lycian Coastline
The itinerary will start at Gocek with time to explore a few of the beautiful bays of the Fethiye gulf before travelling south east to Gemiler island, Kalkan and the fascinating Kekova area with its numerous ancient tombs and fascinating history. Time permitting, we also plan to visit the wonderful mountain site of Arykanda before returning to Kas to end the cruise.
October 3-13 (10 nights/11 days)
Our last schooner party starts at Finike. After visiting the stunning Olympos site and beach area, we will make our way to the Kekova area, then on to Kas, Kalkan, Gemiler island and finally Fethiye. There are many historic villages and sites along the route, easily accessible from the boat.

The May 15 and May 25 schooner parties can be combined to make a longer holiday. Any date can also be extended with a stop-over in Istanbul, coastal town or tailor-made inland tour. We have a list of 'tried and tested' pensions and hotels we can recommend.

HOW TO BOOK
Telephone the office on + 44 (0) 1884 849200 or e-mail jennyday@daydreams-travel.com for the latest availability and details of each party. We will send you a booking form which should be returned to us together with a deposit of £150 per person. Confirmation of your booking will then be sent to you. The balance of the holiday will be due eight weeks prior to departure.
** The May 26, Dodecanese Islands itinerary will incur additional charges from the Greek Authorities for mooring fees, port and immigration charges. These charges will be shared equally between those travelling in the group.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
Prices are per person. Almost everything is included on our schooner parties: boat rental, services of captain and crew, on-board hostess/tour leader, transfers to and from the airport by air-conditioned minibus, breakfast, lunch, dinner, bottled water, tea & coffee. For land based holidays, please refer to the individual itineraries for full details of what is included.
WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED ON SCHOONER PARTIES
Drinks (the boat runs its own bar selling local drinks – gin, raki, beer, soft drinks, wine & liqueurs). Clients may bring one bottle only of duty free spirit on board. Gratuities to crew. (Once a week it is customary to give the crew a night off and passengers eat out at their own expense.) There are no single cabins, but if space allows, we will make a charge of £300 or £350 for sole occupancy of a double cabin. At all times we will endeavour to find a suitable person to share. For full details of our Terms and Conditions please refer to our main boat brochure which is available as a pdf or hard copy from the office. Flights are not included in any of our prices as some of our clients travel from different destinations. Details are advised at the time of booking. We are using Turkish Airlines from London Heathrow. Most international flights connect through Istanbul to the regional airports closest to the ports we use on each itinerary.
