Jenny Day has been organising small groups for her schooner parties along the Turkish coastline of Turkey for over 23 years. The emphasis has always been on achieving a 'house-party' style atmosphere for single travellers in particular, to enjoy good company and good food, in beautiful, interesting surroundings. Jenny escorts these parties personally, enabling those travelling with her, to benefit from her knowledge of the numerous wild walks along deserted trails and archaeological sites along the coast. A variety of Itineraries are carefully planned, catering to the varying interests of DayDreams travellers. Over the last few years, she has researched and led groups around the Dodecanese islands and the southern route is included in the 2011 Schooner Parties programme.
Land based holidays are featured for those people who prefer to keep their feet firmly on the ground and of course, for those looking to explore some of the fascinating inland cities and sites. Imagine waking in the morning with the sun streaming through the porthole, slipping over the side of the boat for a swim before breakfast. And what a breakfast; irresistible Turkish yogurt and honey, eggs any way you want, fruit, cheeses, olives, luscious tomatoes and local breads. Anchor up, off you go to a beautiful bay for a swim, or potter about on a canoe. A delicious lunch follows, more swimming and sun and winds permitting, the sails go up, as we move along the coast to another magical setting for dinner and an overnight stay. Barbeques, endless different mezze and a wonderful variety of Turkish home cooking are all eaten under the stars.
